Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Domain Checker at domain-checker.snapstatic.io ("the Service"), operated by SnapStatic. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Description of Service

The Domain Checker is a free tool that reports whether a domain name appears to be available. Default TLDs (.com, .net, .org, .io) are checked directly from your browser via public DNS. Philippine TLDs (.ph, .com.ph, .net.ph, .org.ph) are checked, when you opt in, by a small server-side function that queries the registry's WHOIS service. No account or registration is required.

2. Free to Use

The Service is provided free of charge. There are no paid tiers, credits, or purchase requirements. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue features with notice posted on the Service.

3. Availability Results Are Not a Guarantee

Availability results are a strong signal, not a guarantee. DNS and WHOIS reflect different states of a domain, and a name shown as "available" here may still be premium, reserved, or priced differently at a registrar — or may have been registered by someone else in the time since you checked. Always confirm availability and price at your chosen registrar before relying on a result. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any result.

4. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the accuracy of availability data obtained from third-party DNS and WHOIS services.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Automate or script requests, or otherwise place unreasonable load on the Service or the upstream DNS/WHOIS providers
• Attempt to bypass the rate limiting or bot protection (Turnstile)
• Probe, scan, or exploit the Service or its infrastructure
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law

We rate-limit per IP and gate the WHOIS lookup behind Cloudflare Turnstile. We reserve the right to block or throttle any user who abuses the Service.

6. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for decisions you make based on results from the Service, including domain purchases. SnapStatic accepts no liability for names that turn out to be unavailable, premium-priced, or otherwise different from what a result suggested.

7. Intellectual Property

The SnapStatic name, logo, and Service design are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our trademarks or branding.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapStatic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim shall not exceed zero dollars (USD $0.00).

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, rate limiting, or circumstances beyond our control, including upstream DNS/WHOIS outages.

10. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by posting the revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
